Hylé is looking for a front-end engineer who would be part of the Discovery team, which is focused on building the next generational ZK-powered applications using Hylé.

The Discovery Team’s mission is to ship groundbreaking applications that showcase the transformative potential of zero-knowledge technology while shaping Hylé’s evolution through hands-on experimentation.

1. Build apps: Prototype and launch demos & applications that demonstrate the power of ZK technology in areas like privacy, scaling, and frictionless user experiences.
2. Stress-test Hylé: Push the limits of our infrastructure by using it in real-world conditions. Gather critical insights to refine Hylé’s roadmap and ensure we’re solving the right problems.
3. Catalyze adoption: Communicate over what we’re doing and meet the builders where they are. Liaise with the ecosystem at large, whether zk, blockchain, or web2, to inform the roadmap

The role

Responsible for creating unique, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces for our tools and applications, you will be the first and only Front-end developer on the team. You will work day-to-day directly with our CEO, Sylve Chevet, and the Discovery Team to transform complex concepts and ideas into seamless user experiences, websites, and potentially mobile apps. You will also work closely with the protocol team.

• Front-End Development
  • Turn rough product outlines into engaging web/ mobile applications.
  • Develop and maintain robust front-end applications using modern technologies (React, TypeScript, Vue, Svelte, etc.).
  • Participate in code reviews, share knowledge with the team, and set up end-to-end testing.
• UI/UX Design Collaboration
  • Design elegant and intuitive user interfaces in accordance with our identity and branding.
  • Develop effective user onboarding experiences, even for first-time blockchain users.
• Web3 Integration
  • Integrate blockchain/wallets/tools APIs and contribute to improving Web3 development tools.
  • Improve front-end security by preventing phishing and contract spoofing and managing permissions and user roles in decentralized systems.

Your Skills

Essential Skills

• At least 5 years of front-end development experience with strong expertise in React and TypeScript.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously on frontend technologies, with the capacity to thrive in a solo-role environment.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern frameworks like TailwindCSS or Chakra UI.
• Solid understanding of front-end testing tools (e.g., Jest, Testing Library, Cypress).
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams with in-office and remote colleagues.
